All Philadelphia-area composers will be allowed to send in one complimentary audio track. To have more than one audio track on the Webcast, a membership to the American Composers Forum - Philadelphia Chapter must be obtained.
Audio Track Specifications:
*Composers should submit their audio tracks in 96kbps/44.100khz stereo mp3 format. Audio tracks can be converted to these specifications using iTunes (PC and Mac).
- In the iTunes program menu, simply go to Preferences, then to Advanced options, then to Importing.
- Select Import Using mp3 encoder then choose setting custom.
- Next select Stereo Bit Rate 96kbps (do not use variable bit rate encoding).
- Choose a Sample Rate of 44.100khz with Channels set to Stereo and a Stereo Mode of Joint Stereo.
- Be sure to choose Smart Encoding Adjustments and Filer Frequencies below 10hz.
Once you have set your iTunes import function to the above specifications you can convert your files. Highlight the tracks in your Library or playlist that you wish to convert. Go to the Advanced window and select Convert Selection to mp3. You will then need to locate the files (duplicates will be created and placed in your Lirbrary). Be certain you find the converted files. Finally, burn the audio tracks onto a CD and mail them to the address below.
